As a seasoned accounting professional, you will play a pivotal role in our finance controlling team as a Consolidations Accounting Manager. This is a 12-month full-time contract opportunity where you will be responsible for ensuring our consolidated financial statements are complete, accurate, and robust.

This involves managing the preparation of the Group's monthly consolidations within the SAP BPC reporting system, ensuring robust processes and controls are in place with regards to this process, and managing relationships with reporting stakeholders to ensure their reporting needs are met.

Additionally, you will be involved in process improvement initiatives, actively determining and implementing changes to improve efficiency and effectiveness. This may include taking maintenance of mapping tables in-house and improving data submissions from business units.

Another key aspect of this role is leading an active program of feedback to business units to ensure they are meeting their data submission requirements. You will also interact with the Woolworths Finance Shared Services team on various accounting matters and issue timetables and instructions as appropriate.

As a qualified accountant (CA/CPA) with broad technical accounting knowledge, you will be able to work effectively with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds and have excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with individuals at all levels of the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience within financial accounting roles, with at least 3 years of consolidations experience
  • Relevant undergraduate qualifications
  • Qualified accountant (CA/CPA)
  • Broad technical accounting knowledge
  • Results-driven with the ability to work under pressure in order to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with individuals at all levels of the organisation
