Custom Accounting is hiring We're after an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team.

Who are we? We are a regionally based leading Chartered Accountancy and Financial Services firm based in Cootamundra with an office in Sydney. We service a diverse client base – small and large businesses, family operations, farms, individuals – based all across Australia. We're a small team, with a big output.

Who are we after? Someone who is self-motivated and can provide our clients with a high level of service. This position is available on a part-time or full-time basis and offers the flexibility to work remotely, with the ability to meet with clients in Sydney or Cootamundra every now and then. We\u2019re after someone with at least 5 years of experience.

Responsibilities
  • Create ad-hoc reports for various business needs
  • Prepare tax documents
  • Compile and analyze financial statements
  • Manage budgeting and forecasting
  • Ensure jobs are completed effectively by meeting technical standards and deadline
  • Review of work prepared by junior accountants including balance sheet reconciliation and profit loss analysis
Ideally, you will fit the following requirements and experience:
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Professional accounting certification (e.g., CPA, CA) is an advantage but not essential
  • Has worked directly with clients and stakeholders
  • Demonstrates excellent communication skills and a positive attitude
  • Exposure to Xero, FYI and Business Fitness software is an advantage
