Job Description

Role Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team in designing, managing and overseeing the installation of HVAC systems for commercial and residential projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop innovative HVAC systems that meet client specifications and comply with industry standards.
  • Perform thorough heat load calculations, duct and pipe sizing, and equipment selection using relevant software tools.
  • Prepare detailed mechanical design drawings, specifications, and technical reports for review and approval.
  • Oversee the installation and commissioning of mechanical services, providing on-site technical support to site teams.
  • Liaise effectively with clients, architects, contractors, and suppliers throughout project life cycles.
  • Conduct regular inspections and troubleshooting of systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Assist in preparing tenders, cost estimates, and project documentation as required.
  • Ensure compliance with Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) policies and Environmental regulations.
  • Stay up-to-date with new technologies, industry developments, and best practices through ongoing professional development.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering (ANZSCO Skill Level 1).
  • Excellent knowledge of Australian building codes and standards.
  • Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Eligibility for or membership with Engineers Australia is highly desirable.
