Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to design and manage HVAC systems, prepare technical documentation, and ensure compliance with Australian standards and client requirements.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing commercial and residential HVAC systems, performing heat load calculations, duct and pipe sizing, and equipment selection using relevant software tools.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and Implementation: Design commercial and residential HVAC systems ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications.
  • Tech Documentation: Prepare mechanical design drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
  • Installation and Commissioning: Oversee installation and commissioning of mechanical services providing technical support to site teams.
  • Liaison and Communication: Liaise with clients, architects, contractors, and suppliers throughout project life cycles.
  • System Inspection and Troubleshooting: Conduct inspections and troubleshooting of systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Project Management: Assist in preparing tenders, cost estimates, and project documentation.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering (ANZSCO Skill Level 1).
  • Australian Standards Knowledge: Excellent knowledge of Australian standards and Building Codes.
  • Project Management and Problem-Solving: Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Abilities: Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Eligibility for Engineers Australia Membership: Eligibility for or membership with Engineers Australia is desirable.
