As a Local Area Coordinator, you will play a vital part in assisting individuals with disabilities and their families to pursue their objectives. You will collaborate closely with participants to develop tailored strategies, connecting them with local resources and support services.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Supporting people with permanent disabilities to access National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) supports.
- Collaborating with participants to achieve their goals.
- Connecting individuals with disabilities to local community networks and services.
- Assisting participants to navigate NDIS opportunities.
Key attributes of this role include:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the local community and available options for social participation.
- Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office 365.
