At ERM, we are seeking a motivated and experienced Lead Environmental Consultant to join our team in Newcastle East. This is an exciting opportunity to lead fieldwork programs and contribute to complex site investigation and remediation projects.

As a key member of our Contaminated Sites Assessment and Remediation Team, you will be responsible for supervising fieldwork programs, including subcontractors and ERM personnel on site. You will also undertake environmental assessments and remediation works involving the collection of field data (soil, soil gas/vapour, groundwater).

The ideal candidate will have between 5-8 years' experience in contaminated site management consulting, with strong field work and project management skills acquired across a range of site uses and contaminant types. You will have a relevant tertiary qualification (geology, hydrogeology, environmental science, environmental engineering, soil science or other related science subject degree) and a high appreciation and understanding of health & safety requirements on complex work sites.

We offer a competitive salary package of $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus fieldwork allowances, discretionary performance bonuses, and incentives. Our benefits also include structured career development, professional memberships, wellness days, flexible working arrangements, and access to a wide variety of local, interstate, and international projects.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on diverse and technically challenging projects, collaborating with industry-leading technical experts and certified environmental practitioners. You will also have access to continuous training and development, including support for external training, and the chance to make a meaningful contribution to the company's sustainability goals.
