TRS Staffing Solutions is seeking an experienced professional to fill the role of Material Control and Planning Lead. This position is ideal for individuals with a strong background in materials management and logistics.
Job DescriptionThe successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing project logistics and materials management activities. This includes developing strategies and plans for the project and ensuring their execution during the project's life cycle.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8 years of experience in materials management, with a proven track record of working on large EPC/EPCM projects. They will also have experience with EPC materials management systems and a basic understanding of engineering material take-off processes.
The successful candidate will be responsible for directing the site warehouse manager and logistics lead, as well as overseeing the logistics and materials management team at the site. They will also be responsible for coordinating warehouse personnel and availability for receiving goods, as well as directing and managing other materials management key personnel and blue-collar construction contractor manpower.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders. They will also have strong time management skills and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements- 8+ years of experience in materials management
- Experience working on large EPC/EPCM projects
- Prior experience with EPC materials management systems
- Basic knowledge of engineering material take-off processes
- Excellent communication and time management skills
