P3M Leadership Role

We are seeking a highly skilled leader to take on a key position within our P3M (Project, Program & Portfolio Management) community. This individual will be responsible for driving business growth and excellence through effective leadership, strategic influence, and hands-on delivery.

  • Establish and lead a Community of Practice (CoP) to foster collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement in the P3M space.
  • Develop and embed professional standards for the P3M delivery community, ensuring consistency and best practices across the board.
  • Contribute to the development of the EPMO Workforce Strategy, aligning sourcing and capability development with organisational needs and goals.
  • Influence the ASA Workforce Capability Framework, ensuring it reflects evolving project, program, and portfolio delivery capabilities and remains relevant to the industry.
  • Design and deliver capability uplift programs, including training material development and facilitation across the delivery community, to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities for innovation and efficiency to drive better outcomes and improve overall performance.
The Ideal Candidate
  • Hold professional qualifications in Project Management (e.g. PRINCE2, PMBoK, AgilePM, SCRUM) or Service Delivery (e.g. ITIL).
  • Desirable: Accreditation in Six Sigma, Lean Management or similar, demonstrating expertise in process improvement and efficiency.
  • Possess at least 10 years' experience in complex delivery environments, with a deep understanding of project and program methodologies.
  • Have proven experience in capability building, coaching project staff, and delivering training programs that drive results and improvements.
  • Demonstrate success in leading change through capability uplift initiatives, with a track record of achieving desired outcomes.
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and digital collaboration tools, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
