Job Summary

Certis Security Australia is seeking a reliable and highly skilled Maritime Security Officer to join our team. As a Maritime Security Officer, you will be responsible for protecting the integrity and safety of our maritime zones, ensuring compliance with MTOFSA rules and regulations, and upholding the approved maritime security plan.

Main Responsibilities

  • Control access into our maritime zone, ensuring adherence to MTOFSA guidelines.
  • Sign in and out contractors, verify induction cards and MSICs, and monitor email communications.
  • Provide perimeter security, detecting and preventing unauthorized access to our site.
  • Conduct regular patrols, surveillance, and monitoring of entry gates, site buildings, and access control systems.
  • Respond to alarms, incidents, and breaches, and maintain accurate records.

Requirements

  • A Certificate II in Security Operations.
  • A valid Security license and the ability to obtain and maintain a Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC).
  • Previous experience as an MSG or in a busy gatehouse role, with a minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
