Electrical Engineer Role

A key opportunity has arisen for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team. As part of our System Design division, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Australia's energy landscape.

The energy sector is undergoing a once-in-a-generation transformation, driven by the rapid shift to renewables and electrification of transport, industry, and more. Our Onboarding and Connections team leads the end-to-end process of connection and registering new generators into the National Electricity Market (NEM).

We are looking for a Senior/Principal Engineer with expertise in power system modelling tools and a proven track record of delivering medium to large-scale, technically complex projects.

About the Role
  • This pivotal role involves working on integrating a mix of technologies, from wind, solar, hydro, battery storage, and hydrogen.
  • You will collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders, including network service providers, developers, investors, manufacturers, consultants, government bodies, regulators, and industry experts.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Taking the lead in managing large-scale, technically complex projects from inception to commercial operation.
  2. Builiding and enhancing collaborative relationships with clients by proactively addressing project challenges.
  3. Ensuring all decisions are grounded in solid data, clearly documented, and made with transparency and pragmatism at their core.
What You Will Bring
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering or other discipline relevant to power systems analysis.
  • Proven leadership in delivering medium to large-scale, technically complex projects with a pragmatic, outcome-driven approach.
