Job Title: Principal Power Systems Engineer

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Principal Power Systems Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be integral to delivering high-quality power systems projects that cater to both traditional and renewable energy sectors. This role involves collaborating closely with developers, investors, network service providers, and regulatory bodies to drive project success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct and deliver high-quality power system studies for renewable and traditional energy projects.
  • Develop innovative solutions to complex power systems and network connection issues.
  • Lead project management tasks, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, internal standards, and stakeholder expectations.
  • Identify potential extensions and growth opportunities for ongoing and future projects.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
  • Strong project management skills, including experience in managing multiple tasks and tight timelines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt to diverse situations.
  • Proficiency in data management and reporting, with experience in power systems modelling tools (e.g., PSS/E, PowerFactory, PSCAD).
  • Proven experience in managing technical quality, timelines, and budget for large-scale projects.
  • Stakeholder management experience, with a track record of successful negotiations.
