About the Role
We are seeking a Maintenance Electrical Tradesperson to join our team at the BMA Hay Point Terminal in the Mackay Region. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine online, offline, and shutdown maintenance tasks on a range of fixed plant and Port Infrastructure. Additionally, you will provide planning and technical input to ensure the safe delivery of department objectives.
The role is based in the Mackay Region and offers a great roster with a 4/3 day rotation. The successful candidate will be required to work dayshift only, with the possibility of some night shifts if required. This is a residentially located role, with no FIFO (fly-in, fly-out) requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Comply with and consistently follow the standards and procedures designed to enable you to work safely and effectively every day
- Complete allocated planned maintenance tasks
- Undertake unplanned or breakdown maintenance tasks, including problem-solving, fault-finding, and diagnosis
- Provide feedback to the maintenance supervisor on job progress
- Undertake assigned improvement projects
- Work with your team to a high level of accountability and build proactive relationships across all site teams
About You
- To be successful in this role, you will have a relevant trade qualification in electrical work
- Proven maintenance experience in fixed plant maintenance
- Active focus on safety, drive, and passion to improve
- Strong people and communication skills, with the ability to liaise, negotiate, and influence internal and external stakeholders
- Previous experience with SAP will be beneficial
- The nature of the role requires you to be a forward thinker and focused on process discipline
Requirements
- Current QLD Electrical Workers license
- Current Electrical Switchboard and Resuscitation certificate
- Current Driver's license
- Ability to fault-find and interpret electrical schematic drawings
- Construction Industry Induction training (White card)
- Desirable: EI High Voltage Switching, Hazardous Area training, Electrical Fixed Plant or processing equipment experience, Experience with PLC, Citect, and autonomous equipment, Experience with SCADA, Ability to work shift and day only rosters (equal time), Solid time management skills and ability to prioritise
