About the Role

As a Terminal Maintenance Electrical Tradesperson, you will perform routine online, offline, and shutdown maintenance tasks on fixed plant and port infrastructure.

You will report to the Supervisor Port Maintenance Execution at BMA Hay Point Terminal and work in the Mackay Region at the BMA Hay Point Coal Terminal Site.

This is a residentially located role with a 4/3 day roster and dayshift only (with the possibility of nightshift in the future).

Responsibilities

  • Comply with and follow safety standards and procedures
  • Complete allocated planned maintenance tasks
  • Undertake unplanned or breakdown maintenance tasks, including problem-solving and fault-finding
  • Provide feedback to the maintenance supervisor on job progress
  • Undertake assigned improvement projects
  • Work with your team to a high level of accountability and build proactive relationships across all site teams

About You

  • To be successful, you will have a relevant trade qualification in electrical and proven maintenance experience in fixed plant maintenance.
  • Your active focus on safety, drive, and passion to improve will see you succeed in this role.
  • Your people and communication skills are of the utmost importance, as well as your relationship skills when liaising, negotiating, and influencing internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Current QLD Electrical Workers license
  • Current Electrical Switchboard and Resuscitation certificate
  • Current Driver's license
  • Ability to fault-find and interpret electrical schematic drawings
  • Construction Industry Induction training (White card)
