About the Role

As a Terminal Maintenance Electrical Tradesperson at BMA Hay Point Terminal, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks on fixed plant and port infrastructure. You will provide planning and technical input to ensure the safe delivery of department objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Comply with safety standards and procedures to work safely and effectively
  • Complete allocated planned maintenance tasks
  • Undertake unplanned or breakdown maintenance tasks, including problem-solving and fault-finding
  • Provide feedback to the maintenance supervisor on job progress
  • Undertake assigned improvement projects
  • Work collaboratively with the team to achieve high levels of accountability and build proactive relationships across site teams

About You

  • To be successful in this role, you will have a relevant trade qualification in Electrical and proven maintenance experience in fixed plant maintenance
  • Active focus on safety, drive, and passion to improve will see you succeed in this role
  • Strong people and communication skills, with the ability to liaise, negotiate, and influence internal and external stakeholders
  • Previous experience with 1SAP will be beneficial
  • The nature of the role requires you to be a forward thinker and focused on process discipline

Requirements

  • Current QLD Electrical Workers license
  • Current Electrical Switchboard and Resuscitation certificate
  • Current Driver's license
  • Ability to fault-find and interpret Electrical schematic drawings
  • Construction Industry Induction training (White card)
  • Desirable qualifications include EI High Voltage Switching, Hazardous Area training, Electrical Fixed Plant or processing equipment experience, and experience with PLC, Citect, and autonomous equipment
