The Clinical Director role is a pivotal position within our mental health services, focusing on delivering high-quality care to young people at risk or experiencing psychosis.

About the Position

We are seeking an experienced psychiatrist with strong leadership skills to lead clinical services for our headspace Early Psychosis program. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the Tasmanian mental health sector and relevant legislation.

  • Maintain strong relationships with Tasmanian Health to ensure efficient access to emergency care and inpatient services.
Required Qualifications and Skills

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Medical qualifications and full registration with AHPRA, along with Fellowship in the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP).
  • A proven track record in clinical psychiatry, with extensive experience in developing and implementing programs for people experiencing mental illness.
  • A strong understanding of the Tasmanian mental health sector and relevant legislation.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills to inspire and educate multi-disciplinary teams.
