Family Engagement Director Role

This role plays a vital part in delivering residential screening and parent education for youth and families requesting services from Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches. The Family Engagement Director is responsible for working collaboratively with staff, acting as a liaison between parents of placed youth and the agency, and providing temporary aftercare support and networking.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Recruit, orient, supervise, train, and evaluate Family Engagement Specialists to ensure effective collaboration.
  • Maintain contact with programs where youth are located and meet with them at program sites or schools on a regular basis.
  • Respond to incoming inquiries and requests for services promptly within 24 hours.
  • Manage caseloads and develop alternative plans when services are no longer needed.
  • Maintain knowledge of resources within assigned outreach areas and foster quality relationships with community partners.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and group facilitation skills, as well as the ability to organize work efficiently and meet service objectives and deadlines.

Requirements:
  • A master's degree in social work or a related field from an accredited college or university.
  • LCSW, LMFT, or LMHC licensure in good standing within the state of Florida.
  • Experience with personal computers and good oral and written communication skills.

This is an exempt position that requires flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
