
Community Family Liaison

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Family Engagement Director to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in residential screening and parent education for youth and families who have requested the services of our agency.
The Family Engagement Director will work closely with staff to serve as a field liaison between parents of placed youth and our agency, providing time-limited aftercare support and networking based on the youth's length of stay in the program.
This exempt position will supervise Family Engagement Specialists and report directly to the Vice President Programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruit, orient, supervise, train, and evaluate Family Engagement Specialists.
- Supervise the Request for Service process and develop family education throughout the state.
- Coordinate policies, procedures, directives, manuals, and training programs with the Quality Improvement Director.
- Maintain contact with programs where youth are located and meet with youth at program sites or schools monthly.
- Respond promptly to inquiries and requests for services within 24 hours.
- Manage a caseload and add students to the waiting list.
- Assist families in complying with the Family Agency Agreement.
- Develop and submit timely accurate case record documentation.
- Identify community resources and develop alternative plans when services are no longer needed.
- Maintain resource knowledge and quality relationships with community agencies.
- Participate in training activities and provide additional training for staff as needed.
- Develop schedules to engage community partners and coordinate the annual summer camp program.
- Participate in planning and delivery of family engagement activities.
- Troubleshoot problem areas and carry out special projects assigned by the Vice President Programs.
Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree in social work, counseling, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in family engagement or a related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Knowledge of community resources and ability to build partnerships.
