Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean and well-maintained environment within the care home.

This includes ensuring that all facilities are in good working order, carrying out day-to-day repairs and some refurbishment activity as required.

Additionally, the individual will be expected to maintain compliance with Health and Safety legislation throughout the home, including reporting of H&S incidents.

Effective communication with staff, relatives and families is also a key aspect of this role, as is ensuring safety checks and servicing are carried out on all equipment with accurate records kept.


Requirements
  • Proven experience in maintenance and repair work.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to demonstrate Health and Safety awareness through discussion.
