Family Carer Workforce Member

The Tribunal Advisory Group (TAG) is seeking a Family Carer workforce member to join our team.

This role offers a unique opportunity for individuals with lived experience of mental health and family carer roles to contribute to the development of policies and procedures that impact on consumer and carer participation.

We are looking for someone who has experience working in a designated Lived Experience Carer role at a public area mental health service and has expertise in consumer and carer engagement.

Key Responsibilities
  • To participate in the TAG meetings and provide expert advice on consumer and carer related issues.
  • To assist the Tribunal to maximise opportunities for consumer and carer engagement and participation in the activities of the Tribunal.
  • To advise and provide input into the Tribunal's operations and strategic planning.

The successful applicant will be required to work collaboratively with other members of the TAG to achieve the goals of the group.

They will also be expected to maintain confidentiality and adhere to the principles of diversity and inclusion.

Selection Criteria

The following criteria will be used to select the successful applicant:

  • Relevant experience working in a designated Lived Experience Carer role at a public area mental health service.
  • Expertise in consumer and carer engagement and participation.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other members of the TAG.
  • Maintaining confidentiality and adhering to the principles of diversity and inclusion.
