Family/Carer Workforce Member Role OverviewThis role offers an exceptional opportunity for individuals with lived experience of mental health services to contribute to the Tribunal's work and shape its activities.The successful candidate will be part of a dedicated workforce team, working in a designated Lived Experience Carer role at a public area mental health service.Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Planning: The Family/Carer Workforce member will participate in shaping the Tribunal's work and advise on strategic planning to maximize opportunities for consumer and carer engagement.
  • Advice and Input: Provide expert advice to the Governance Group on documents, projects, or other matters that impact consumer and carer participation.
  • Project Development: Recommend and contribute to projects, communications materials, and activities that promote consumer and carer participation at the Tribunal.
  • Issue Identification: Identify consumer and carer related issues and provide expert advice on those matters.
  • Community Engagement: Foster two-way communication between the Tribunal and the consumer and carer communities.
  • Participation Monitoring: Monitor and facilitate consumer and carer participation activities at the Tribunal.

The Governance Group may refer documents, projects, or other matters to the Family/Carer Workforce member for advice and input.
