About the Role

You will oversee the development and timely delivery of monthly financial reports. This entails reviewing financial transactions, preparing financial journals, and reconciling month-end accounts to ensure data accuracy.

Furthermore, you will assist in compiling the General Purpose Financial statements for DHA, including collaboration with external and internal auditors. You will also contribute to evaluating internal procedures and proposing enhancements to the Manager, Accounting Services. Additionally, you will manage the asset management accounting functions of DHA, ensuring adherence to Australian Accounting Standards.

Your responsibilities will also include providing monthly balance sheet reconciliations and supporting workpapers for asset accounts, capitalizing assets acquired by DHA, and administering DHA's annual impairment process. Lastly, you will ensure that end-of-financial-year processing is completed in accordance with Australian Accounting Standards, including the preparation of notes to the financial statements.
