About the Branch:
The Corporate Branch plays a key role in enabling services that support effective agency operations, ensuring compliance with legislation and policies as a non-corporate Commonwealth entity.
The branch facilitates efficient resource management and corporate accountability through functions such as financial management, performance reporting, parliamentary services, procurement, facilities management, and human resource management.
The branch complements scheme-focused activities of other divisions by facilitating strategic communications and client engagement through our website and contact centre.
About the Finance Section:
The Finance Section is led by the Chief Financial Officer, who reports directly to the Chief Operations Officer. The section partners with business units to support efficient and effective procurement processes, manage internal and external budgetary requirements, deliver flexible and agile financial information and advice to stakeholders.
The position's key duties include:
- Preparing monthly and annual financial statements according to established procedures and guidelines.
- Managing coordination of monthly tasks including preparation and entering of journals and account reconciliations and reports.
- Maintaining the agency's asset register including capitalisation, disposals, depreciation processing, and annual stocktake.
- Providing expert advice and support across the organisation on asset management practices.
