About the Role

Lendlease is seeking a highly skilled Senior Cost Planner to join our NSW Cost Planning team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in driving our construction strategy and contributing to the production of conceptual and detailed cost plans, estimates, and value engineering on major projects throughout Australia.

This is a hands-on role that requires strong local industry networks, knowledge of the NSW subcontractor market, and the ability to engage with subcontractors and suppliers when working on tenders and projects. You will be responsible for controlling project costs during the concept design, design development phase, through construction cost reporting to final cost.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement cost plans and estimates for large-scale construction projects
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure timely and accurate cost reporting
  • Manage and control project costs to ensure compliance with budget and scope
  • Provide expert advice on cost management and estimation
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers
Requirements
  • 10+ years' experience in the Building and Construction industry
  • Relevant University qualifications in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or technical skills in measurement and preparation of Bills of Quantities
  • Strong local industry networks and knowledge of the NSW subcontractor market
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Proficiency in Cost X and Microsoft Excel
