Role Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Contracting Officer to support our team in engaging with stakeholders and responding to procurement enquiries.

The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be proficient in stakeholder engagement, and able to liaise with stakeholders on complex issues. They will also contribute to ongoing self-improvement and professional development.

About Our Team:

We implement contracts and agreements with external parties, including universities, industry partners, and research agencies. We work closely with specialist areas within Defence to ensure robust procurement advice that complies with policies and rules.

Your Key Responsibilities:

- Negotiate and draft research agreements with external parties

- Provide guidance, advice, and support services throughout the procurement lifecycle and contract drafting activities as required

- Demonstrate a good understanding of procurement rules and connected policies

- Build, manage, and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders

- Showcase effective communication skills with the ability to tailor their approach, both written and verbal
