Job Overview

We are seeking a Senior Commercial Manager to lead our team in delivering gross profit improvements across all channels. As a key business partner to the sales leadership team, you will be responsible for embedding trade spend governance, promotional management, and standard ways of working across major national accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with sales teams on key business rhythms such as integrated business planning and integrated category planning to ensure best-in-class delivery of results and risk monitoring.
  • Lead a team of two analysts.
  • Lead key workstreams for trade spend optimization across all channels.
  • Prepare and assist with pricing and analysis of business proposals and new product development for all opportunities.
  • Ensure execution of global pricing policy ensuring margin is in-line with agreed strategies.
  • Manage costs proactively through understanding of cost structures/drivers within the business and promoting comparison and benchmarking.
  • Analyze and challenge product portfolios to identify cost optimization opportunities, eliminate value destroyers, and maximize return on investment.
  • Prepare annual budget plans in ICP including review of assumptions provided by the sales teams.

Requirements:

  • A qualified finance professional with recent experience partnering senior sales leaders within a reputable organization.
  • Previous experience with trade spend, pricing, and promotional management.
  • Strong commercial and business acumen, P&L management.
  • A strong team leader who can coach, mentor, and develop.
