Job Summary

The Staff Development Officer will play a key role in the Regional Operations Branch, coordinating and supporting Districts to execute the RFSQ staff development framework. This includes administration, coordination, and promotion of training and development activities and initiatives for staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the coordination of staff performance and appraisal development plans for the Region.
  • Conduct training needs assessments to identify gaps, trends, and opportunities for improvement in staff development.
  • Coordinate, deliver, and facilitate staff development activities, including onboarding activities and supporting induction and role readiness activities for new staff members.
  • Provide advice and input to ensure staff development curriculum is contemporary and aligned with operational currency.
  • Monitor, audit, and report on learning and development programs to ensure staff development is fit-for-purpose and compliant with industry standards.
Requirements
  • Must meet the mandatory requirements and attributes as outlined in the generic RFSQ Rural Officer Two (RFSO2) role description.
  • Possession of current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and/or accredited tertiary qualification in adult education or equivalent.
