Job Title

As a key contributor to our shipbuilding program, you will play a vital role in designing and integrating complex piping systems for the Hunter Class Frigate Program.

Responsibilities
  • Develop skills in creating piping layouts and isometric drawings under supervision.
  • Assist with system integration and spatial coordination in a 3D design environment.
  • Support the team in problem investigations and propose practical solutions.
  • Build technical competence by engaging with experienced designers and staying up to date with standards and technologies.
Requirements

For this opportunity, you'll have:

  • Demonstrated experience in the design and integration of piping systems in a 3D CAD environment.
  • Proven ability to produce fabrication, spool, and installation drawings for mechanical/piping systems.
  • Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor, Creo, Siemens NX, REVIT, or similar).
  • Diploma of Engineering (Technical) or equivalent relevant industry experience.
  • Strong communication skills to work effectively in multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities (e.g. design registers, reporting).
  • Desirable: Trade background or piping design experience in shipbuilding, oil & gas, or heavy industry.
