Job Description

This role requires strong mechanical skills, a high level of attention to detail, and hands-on experience in pipe fitting and welding, including commissioning and flange management.

The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating and installing pipework, using MIG, Stick, and Flux Core welding techniques. They will also be required to conduct pipe fitting, flange management, and pipe commissioning to ensure system integrity.

Additionally, they will need to interpret technical drawings and complete pipe fitting tasks such as assembly, disassembly, alignment, and adjustment of components.

Other key responsibilities include:

  • Fabricate and install pipework
  • Conduct pipe fitting, flange management, and pipe commissioning
  • Interpret technical drawings and complete pipe fitting tasks

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Certificate III in Mechanical Fitting or Fabrication
  • Or minimum 2 years' experience in a pipe fitting and fabrication role
  • Proven experience in pipe fitting and pipe welding (carbon steel - MIG, Stick, Flux Core)
  • Flange management and pipe commissioning
  • Bitumen systems and processing equipment (advantageous)
  • Forklift licence (or ability to obtain)
  • Dogging and Rigging tickets (advantageous)
  • Strong commitment to Safety, Health & Environmental practices
