We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Accountant to join our Property team at P&C Partners Pty Ltd. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Property and Fund Management teams in making informed financial decisions, maintaining regulatory compliance, and achieving our financial goals.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the financial operations concerning our investment portfolio, including weekly bank reconciliations of Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs).
- Conduct regular meetings with the Development Manager to set pay runs and update project cash flow requirements.
- Work closely with the Fund Accountant and Corporate Accountant for intercompany transactions, invoicing, and corresponding payments.
- Own the Project Cash Flow model and review it with the Development Manager monthly to ensure its assumptions, integrity, and accuracy reflect the Project team's delivery strategy.
- Possess a broad understanding of key delivery documents, including loan agreements, Funding IMs, Trust Deeds, Trust Units - Terms of Issue, Infrastructure Agreements, and Major Supply Agreements with Creditors.
- Perform end-of-month reconciliations on the 3-way forecast models.
- Prepare monthly reporting for review by the Development Manager, Head of Property, and Fund Manager.
- Collaborate with the capital raising team to ensure projected forecasts of equity injections are in line with required capital cash flow.
- Collaborate with the Fund Manager to ensure expected redemptions and coupons are forecast accurately in line with agreed strategies.
We are looking for a qualified Accountant with experience in Property and/or Fund Accounting who is versatile, flexible, and ready to immerse themselves in a broad and varied role. You will be a self-starter, able to work autonomously when required, and still be deliverables-focused.
Requirements- Strong organisational skills
- Experience in working with sophisticated property developments, including funding and financial forecasting
- Ability to work both cross-functionally and autonomously
- Experience ensuring data integrity and high attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and understand the urgency of critical tasks that may arise
- Effective communication skills for client interactions and reporting
- Good judgement and decision-making skills
