Shut Down Scheduler Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Shut Down Scheduler to join our team on an initial 12-month contract.

The ideal candidate will have a background in scheduling maintenance shut downs for Fixed Plant (CHPP) or materials handling / processing in a coal mining environment, experience using SAP and Microsoft Project, and excellent organisational and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, optimise, and schedule maintenance activities to minimise downtime, waste, cost, and maximise resource utilisation while prioritising safety.
  • Implement optimised shut down processes by setting performance benchmarks, identifying risks, and developing mitigation plans to reduce downtime and increase productivity.
  • Collaborate with multiple stakeholders across Operations and Functions to ensure seamless integration of Maintenance and Production activities.
  • Work closely with Maintenance Planners to identify and mitigate risks, ensuring an integrated maintenance schedule is delivered.
  • Provide regular reporting and insight to the execution team regarding progress and strategy during execution.

This role will be based in Brisbane, working on a Monday to Friday roster. There may be occasional travel to site during the execution of the shut down, with a minimum of 4 days spent on-site.

About The Role

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in planning and scheduling processes.
  • Prior exposure to logistics and coordination, as well as a knowledge of production processes.
  • Proficiency in MS Project or similar software.
  • Experience with SAP or similar maintenance planning software.
  • Background in Fixed Plant (CHPP) or materials handling / processing.
  • Australian Work Rights, including a Birth Certificate, Passport, and/or valid Visa.
