Mechanical Fixed Plant Fitters, Boilermakers & Maintenance/Shutdown Planners

Key Responsibilities

Fixed Plant Fitters

  • Preventive/corrective maintenance on conveyors, crushers, screens, pumps & gearboxes
  • Breakdown response, component change-outs & rebuilds
  • Laser alignment of bearings/couplings; basic hydraulics/pneumatics
  • Isolations/LOTO and quality close-out

Boilermakers

  • Heavy plate welding & fabrication (FCAW/MMAW); oxy/plasma cutting & air-arc gouging
  • Wear-liner install/replace (Bisalloy/CCO/ceramic/rubber) and hard facing
  • Chute/hopper/bin/screen/crusher repairs; conveyor frames, guards, skirts, transfer points
  • Structural fit-ups (walkways, handrails, platforms); shutdown hot work & confined space

Planners

  • Plan/schedule in CMMS (SAP/Pronto/Pulse)
  • Scope work, estimate labour/materials, resource planning
  • Coordinate permits/isolations and contractors
  • Track progress/variances; close-out reporting & continuous improvement

What We Are Looking For

  • Safety conscious, positive can-do attitude, reliable team player
  • Relevant trade qualifications & licences (discipline specific)
  • Current full driver's licence and High Risk Work Licence (role dependent)
  • 2+ years' fixed plant maintenance in mining/manufacturing/heavy industry
  • Flexibility for varying rosters and sites; Australian working rights are essential
  • Able to pass pre-employment medical, drug & alcohol screening, National Police Check
  • Working at Heights and Confined Space (role dependent)
  • Desirable: EWP (WP), Forklift (LF), Dogging/Rigging (DG/RG)

Key Responsibilities

Electricians

  • Maintenance & fault-finding on motors, MCCs/VSDs, protection & control
  • Testing/verification (IR, RCD, earth loop), terminations & commissioning
  • Shutdown support, isolations/LOTO and permits (HV switching desirable)

Instrumentation Technicians

  • Calibrate/configure pressure/flow/level/temp instruments & control valves
  • Loop checks, I/O fault-finding; support PLC/SCADA interface & commissioning
  • Tubing/impulse lines and documentation to site standards

What We Are Looking For

  • Relevant trade qualifications & licences (electrical or instrumentation)
  • Unrestricted electrical licence (Electricians); Cert III/IV Instrumentation highly regarded
  • LVR/CPR (current), White Card, Working at Heights/Confined Space; EWP desirable
  • HV switching and/or EEHA exposure highly regarded
  • Proven heavy industry / shutdown experience; strong teamwork & problem-solving
  • Australian working rights essential
