Optimize Shutdown Operations

  • Work on continuous shutdown projects across smelters.
  • Utilize knowledge and experience in pneumatics, pumps and heavy engineering including hydraulics.
  • Duties include conveyor chute maintenance, bearing changes, crusher chute liner replacements and general crusher maintenance, pump and motor changes on various scales, working at heights and confined space work such as tank inspections/repairs.

Requirements

  • Certified trade qualification in mechanical engineering (Australian recognised).
  • Pass a full medical examination.
  • Commit to ongoing roster commitments.
  • Wear a respirator and maintain clean-shaven status as required.
  • Possess statement of attainments including confined space and working at heights certification.
  • Hold high-risk work licence including elevated work platform and 11 meters.
  • Desirable: core background in fixed plant maintenance, shutdowns, construction and heavy industrial plant with heavy engineering expertise.
