Gallagher Bassett (GB) is Australia's largest Third-Party Administrator (TPA). Our focus is on managing insurance claims on behalf of insurers, brokers, government bodies and self-insured corporations.

Job Opportunity

A new opportunity exists for a Risk, Audit and Compliance Advisor to join our Risk, Audit and Compliance team in Sydney.

The team are responsible for developing and maintaining all GB's risk frameworks as well as overseeing risk management activity, compliance activity (regulatory and contractually) and audit activity, both internal and external.

Their vision is to be a valued business partner enabling GB to balance risk and reward, making informed decisions leading to superior strategic outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Complete internal audits within specified timeframes to fulfill obligations under the Annual Compliance Audit Calendar and meet contractual obligations;
  • Test the effectiveness of identified controls, both our own and those identified by our clients, providing assurance that identified controls are mitigating our key business risks;
  • Identify and report risks which may adversely impact on the business and its contractual obligations;
  • Track the progress of agreed corrective actions and remediation plans emanating from compliance audits through to completion;
  • Maintain records and reporting including incident management and risk management systems;
Qualifications
  • Experience in an Audit and/or a Risk and Compliance Function;
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills;
  • Report writing skills;
  • Excellent team player.
