Job Overview

The Senior Associate Director of Philanthropy is a key position that plays a vital role in supporting the success of our fundraising campaign.

This position requires a proactive, relationship-driven professional who can effectively communicate conservation priorities and fundraise for all of our work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and manage a portfolio of 60-100 qualified donors and prospects including those with the capacity to give $250,000+ through one time or multi-year gifts.
  • Annual fundraising goal of $1,000,000+ once the portfolio is fully developed.
  • Collaborate with the Major Gifts team to build a major donor pipeline, including qualifying and disqualifying leads.

As a key member of our externally focused fundraising team, you will engage major gift level donors through personalized outreach, meetings, presentations and events, and play a lead role in identifying and cultivating new funding opportunities to expand our reach and impact.

What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor's degree and 6 years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience building and maintaining long-term relationships with donors.
  • Experience in asking and closing gifts of $250,000 or more.
