About Perinatal Mental Health Care

We deliver innovative perinatal mental health care across North Queensland with a passionate multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Consultation-liaison services for perinatal mental health consumers are provided within Townsville Hospital and Health Service.
  • A pathway to care is offered in partnership with staff and the primary healthcare sector for women at risk of perinatal mental health issues.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
  • Nursing: A Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent certification is necessary.
  • Psychology, Occupational Therapy, and Social Work: Appropriate Tertiary Degree (or equivalent) qualification from an accredited institution is required.
  • Further qualifications/training in the Perinatal and Infant Mental Health field are highly desirable.
Our Benefits Package:
  • A competitive salary range: $64.64 to $72.58 p.h.
  • 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading.
  • 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation.
  • Salary Sacrificing options may be available.
