Public Relations Officer Job Opportunity

The role of Public Relations Officer is a crucial part of the nation's armed forces, requiring effective communication and strategic planning to enhance public perception.

This position involves coordinating communications campaigns to promote the Army as an integral component of the Defence Force.

  1. Develop press releases for media dissemination and build relationships with key journalists to facilitate media coverage.
  2. Compile promotional materials showcasing Army personnel and activities, emphasizing their contributions to the nation.
  3. Organize media awareness training sessions for service members to equip them with the necessary skills.
  4. Provide counsel to senior Army command staff on sensitive matters involving personnel, ensuring confidentiality and professionalism.

Applicants must be Australian citizens between 17 and 56 years old, possessing a proven track record in PR, journalism, marketing, and corporate communications. They should also demonstrate physical fitness suitable for basic military training and be willing to work at ADF bases in Brisbane, Canberra, Darwin, Sydney, or Townsville.

Successful candidates will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, enabling them to effectively collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders.
