About the Role:
The Central Australian Aboriginal Congress is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Physiotherapist to join our team of allied health clinicians. As an NDIS Physiotherapist, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality physiotherapy services to Aboriginal people in the Central Australian community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver culturally-responsive, safe, and high-quality physiotherapy services to clients living with disability, with a focus on optimising movement and function to enable independence and social participation.
- Support clients to make informed decisions about their care and services, fostering self-determination and choice.
- Work collaboratively with other health professionals and community members to develop and implement individualised care plans.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of programs and services that promote the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal people.
Requirements:
- Postgraduate qualification in Physiotherapy.
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Experience working with Aboriginal communities and individuals, particularly in a remote or rural setting.
- Strong understanding of the NDIS and its principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
