About the Role
The Student Midwifery Trainee (SMT) will work under the direct supervision of a Midwife within a defined scope of practice to deliver midwifery care in acute or primary health care settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver midwifery care in acute or primary health care settings
- Assist in the delivery of maternity care to clients
- Gain a broad understanding of the duties and responsibilities of a Midwife
- Provision of midwifery care within an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service
