Trailer Technician Position
We are seeking a skilled Trailer Technician to provide mechanical services on customer trailers, focusing on safety, quality, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform allocated tasks by the workshop controller and service advisors.
- Ensure completed tasks are quality checked, with associated paperwork completed and parts returned to the supervisor.
- Record materials used on the task.
- Assist others when requested and encourage teamwork.
- Perform mechanical and general appearance reconditioning of trailer equipment.
- Maintain compliance with industry standards within health and safety.
- Participate in our breakdown roster for emergency repair calls.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Heavy Vehicle Mechanic or Trailer Mechanic trade qualification.
- Proven experience as a trailer technician.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Knowledge of heavy trailer brake and air systems.
- Expertise in best practice maintenance.
- Commitment to quality and timelines.
