The Role

As an Onsite Field Service Trailer Technician in our Service and breakdown Team, you'll be crucial in providing mechanical services on customer trailers, with a key focus on safety, quality, and efficiency. Key challenges in this role include providing services to the agreed quality levels in line with our company values, whilst maintaining and improving a safe working environment.

What You'll Do

• Perform the tasks allocated by the workshop controller and service advisors.
• Ensure all completed tasks are quality checked, ensuring all associated paperwork is completed, parts are compiled and returned to the Workshop Supervisor.
• Always record all materials used on the task.
• Assist others when requested and encourage teamwork to support a motivated and competent team operating at maximum efficiency.
• Perform mechanical and general appearance reconditioning of trailer equipment.
• Maintain compliance with company and/or industry standards within health and safety.
• Actively participate in our breakdown roster to handle emergency repair calls.
  
  

What You'll Bring:

• Trade Qualification as Heavy vehicle mechanic or Trailer Mechanic
• Proven experience as a trailer technician.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Knowledge of heavy trailer brake and air systems.
• Expertise in best practice maintenance.
• Commitment to quality and timelines.
  
  

Bonus Points:

• Experience with suspension, alignment, electrical, and light welding/fabricating.
