Mining Operations Director

We are seeking a qualified mining engineer to lead the planning, implementation and direction of various engineering aspects of underground mining operations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring safe operation of the underground mine, including optimizing development designs and stope drill/blast designs to minimize dilution and maximize gold recovery.
Main Responsibilities:- Optimize drill/blast designs to minimize dilution and maximize gold recovery.
- Prepare accurate short-term mining schedules to meet mine targets.
- Liaise with senior mine engineers on mine planning and schedule priorities.
- Assist senior mining engineers with productivity rates for longer-term schedules.
- Coordinate and manage daily mine production activities to achieve targets.
The ideal candidate will possess a degree in mining engineering or equivalent, demonstrated understanding of mine planning, scheduling and production, prior experience in gold mining and/or narrow vein operations, and competent use of Datamine, VentSim software or similar. National police clearance is also required.
Key Requirements:- Degree in mining engineering or equivalent.
