About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Career Opportunities Specialist to join our team at Workskil Australia Ltd.

In this role, you will be responsible for facilitating the placement of willing job seekers into long-term sustainable employment opportunities. This will involve conducting comprehensive Reverse Marketing of willing job seekers to local businesses, generating opportunities for job seekers through Business Development Management (BDM), and ensuring suitable roles are passed through to our Recruitment Administrator or Regional Account Manager for appropriate account management.

You will also assist in meeting placement and target outcomes through strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, facilitate group sessions at sites including information and job matching sessions, and proactively engage with employers to arrange further training, wage subsidies, PPE, pre-employment checks, and other requirements to successfully place job seekers into employment.

As a Career Opportunities Specialist, you will be an integral part of our mission to connect our customers with the right opportunities. You will work closely with job seekers and employers to facilitate meaningful and successful employment matches.

Job Description
  • Perform comprehensive Reverse Marketing of willing job seekers (approx. 20 at a time) to local businesses
  • Generate opportunities for job seekers through BDM (i.e., generate placements, interviews, and vacancies with local businesses)
  • Through generating vacancies for job seekers, ensure suitable roles are passed through to our Recruitment Administrator or Regional Account Manager for appropriate account management, while also ensuring unsuitable vacancies are not accepted
  • Assist in meeting placement and target outcomes through strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Facilitate group sessions at sites including information and job matching sessions
  • Proactively engage with employers where appropriate to arrange further training, wage subsidies, PPE, pre-employment checks, and any other requirements to successfully place job seekers into employment
  • Coordinate with relevant managers to assist in meeting larger employment initiatives
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, labour market trends, and recruitment strategies to offer valuable insights and recommendations
Requirements
  • Hold a current driver's licence and have the willingness to travel to other sites where required
  • Have a minimum Certificate IV in Employment Services or Career Development or willingness to obtain
  • Show sound knowledge of the local labour market and the needs and expectations of employers
  • Experience in sales or telemarketing in a service industry is highly regarded
  • Have intermediate to high-level administrative skills, including the ability to type at a minimum of 30 wpm
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport with job seekers and employers
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively
  • Results-oriented mindset with a passion for helping individuals achieve their career goals
Estimated Salary

The estimated salary for this role is around $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
