Job Description:

As a Senior Corporate Counsel, you will play a vital role in providing strategic advice and risk analysis, leading complex legal negotiations and anticipating business, legal and regulatory issues to effect pragmatic customer-focused solutions.

  • Drafting and leading negotiations for complex or strategic contracts and key projects
  • Delivering timely, creative and commercially astute strategic legal advice and support
  • Acting autonomously as a trusted adviser to key stakeholders within your organization
  • Mentoring and acting as a role model to junior lawyers and/or secondees within the legal team
  • Leading initiatives to enhance legal knowledge management and process innovation
Your Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Ability to deal with highly complex and high-risk issues in relation to commercial law
  • Excellent negotiation and influencing skills and ability to lead negotiations on complex legal transactions and issues
  • Strong contract drafting and advisory skills
  • Sound judgment and excellent decision-making skills
  • Minimum of 6 years PQE (or equivalent)
  • Legally qualified (holds a current practicing certificate or equivalent)
