Senior Legal Counsel, Corporate Commercial

Join a highly respected, collegiate in-house legal team supporting the APAC region of a renowned international business. They are well respected throughout the business and have a great impact. You'll handle a dynamic mix of project work and BAU work, related to online trading and investments, including but not limited to:

  • Commercial contracts, technology contracts & complex negotiations – Advising on regulatory, corporate, and commercial matters in a fast-moving environment.
  • Covering the Corporations Act, ASIC regulations, privacy laws.
  • Product launches, M&A, IP, licensing, and marketing– Taking ownership of large projects.
  • Team leadership – Overseeing external counsel and also supervising some lawyers on the in-house team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing legal team.

What You'll Bring
  • 7 PQE (this is a guide only) from an in-house role or a well-regarded firm.
  • Proven ability to lead and mentor more junior team members.
  • Strong commercial acumen and stakeholder management skills to drive success in this role.
  • Ability to work autonomously and make strategic legal decisions in a complex regulatory landscape.
  • Previous financial services or technology experience will set you up for success in this role.
