Job Description

The role of Deputy Regional ICT Manager plays a pivotal part in leading a team of professionals to deliver customer-centric, integrated ICT services across Defence regions.

This position is accountable for coordinating Deskside Support services, Customer Relationship Management, Regional Project Support, Audio Visual Support, Communication Security Support, VIP Support and Asset management, storage and logistics.

As a senior leader, you will be responsible for overseeing the governance of regional delivered ICT Services and performing a leadership role for your local workforce, including learning and development, mentoring and performance management.

About Our Team

The Directorate of Regional ICT Services acts as the Chief Information Officer Group representative for all products and services delivered to Defence regional bases and sites across Australia and internationally.

Our team comprises a mix of personnel located across approximately 56 major Defence bases nationwide. We also have an Overseas Region where opportunity exists for personnel to rotate through the United States of America and England.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate services to meet customer priorities and Defence outcomes.
  • Develop productive working relationships, manage expectations and support integrated enabling services to Defence.
  • Work in a multi-vendor support environment within a framework of legislation, established principles, work practices and procedures in support of Defence missions and business objectives.
  • Investigate information from diverse sources and explore innovative approaches to support longer-term business objectives.
  • Plan, implement and review ICT service activities to meet customer and business requirements.
