Job Overview

As a strategic leader in ICT and information management planning, you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive strategies that drive business outcomes.


The ideal candidate will have expertise in ICT strategic planning, strategy development, and architectural alignment in complex, mission-critical organisations. They will possess highly developed oral and written communication skills, including strong interpersonal skills and the ability to negotiate with influence and establish positive partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.


Key responsibilities include:


  • Providing strategic leadership and management of ICT and information management planning and strategy development and implementation.
  • Maturing the QAS Information Security Management System.
  • Engaging with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders in the delivery of major organisational ICT outcomes.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven expertise in ICT strategic planning, strategy development and architectural alignment in a complex, mission-critical organisation.
  • Highly developed oral and written communication skills, including strong interpersonal skills, ability to negotiate with influence and establish positive, strategic partnerships and collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Highly developed research, analytical, conceptual and problem solving skills including proven capacity to initiate appropriate strategic and operational responses to key issues affecting the organisation.
  • Demonstrated expert knowledge and understanding of the major trends, strategic directions and legislative and governance frameworks within the ICT environment.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage small/virtual teams in the delivery of high-quality services that contribute to successful client outcomes.

Other Requirements

A degree in an ICT/IM discipline and/or certification in Auditing and Information Security Management System and Lead Auditor ISO 19011:2018 is highly regarded. A knowledge and understanding of the Queensland Government Enterprise Architecture 2.0 is also highly desirable.
