Job Title: Chief Operating Officer

The NSW Rural Fire Service Benevolent Fund is a public benevolent institution registered with the ACNC, providing practical assistance to RFS members and their families in times of loss, injury, illness, financial hardship or challenging personal circumstances.

This role requires you to set up systems and processes for the RFSBF. You will work closely with key stakeholders to ensure success, including the Chair and Board, RFS members, and the RFS Chaplaincy Service.

  • You must have a tertiary qualification in a business-related discipline;
  • You should have proven experience as a COO or equivalent senior leader with experience in business improvement and systems development;
  • You require high-level leadership, communication and stakeholder skills and success in building high-performing teams;

About the Role:

This position complements support by other entities, including under Workers Compensation arrangements.

  • Implementing the strategic plan;
  • Overseeing policies and procedures;

The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and maintaining systems and processes for the RFSBF. This includes working closely with key stakeholders such as the Chair and Board, RFS members and the RFS Chaplaincy Service.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business improvement and systems development, with experience as a COO or equivalent senior leader.

They will also possess excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder skills, with a proven track record of building high-performing teams.
