About the Role

As a Fire and Rescue Specialist with NSW Government, you will play a crucial role in protecting people, property, and the environment in your local community. You will work from your local Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) Fire Station and be responsible for undertaking a wide range of duties, including community fire safety work, attending fires and other emergencies, and collaborating with other emergency services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake community fire safety work, including education and outreach programs
  • Attend fires and other emergencies, including motor vehicle accidents and chemical hazards
  • Collaborate with other emergency services, including NSW Ambulance, NSW Rural Fire Service, and NSW Police
  • Participate in training sessions and community safety activities
Requirements
  • Valid NSW Driver's Licence (minimum P1)
  • Australian or New Zealand citizen or permanent resident
  • Live and/or work within a reasonable distance of the FRNSW Fire Station
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, including a base retainer of $78.28 per fortnight and $33.14 per hour for incident and drill attendance. We also provide ongoing training and development opportunities to help you succeed in your role.
