Job Description

Lead payroll management activities for a prominent industry association, working in Canberra or Melbourne.

The organisation has a 75-year history of driving change and providing high-quality services at an affordable cost.

The Role:

  • Effectively manage all payroll operations, including national salaried payroll and employee records, using Aurion software.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Process payroll accurately and timely, maintaining comprehensive records.
  • Prepare monthly and yearly returns, covering payroll tax, workers' compensation, and superannuation.
  • Present payroll information to stakeholders, encompassing board reporting, HR reporting, insurance, and WGEA.
  • Manage compliance payments and end-of-financial-year requirements.
  • Assist with salary package processing and reconciliation.
  • Continuously improve payroll processes and monitor changes affecting payroll processing.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience with Aurion payroll system is desirable.
  • Strong understanding of employment law conditions.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Problem-solving and reconciliation skills.
  • Ability to develop relationships and build trust with employees.
  • Discretion and attention to detail are essential.
