Vanadium Project Manager Opportunity in QLD Australia

We are seeking a seasoned Project Director to lead and deliver the Bankable Feasibility Study (BFS) for our integrated project in Queensland, Australia. This critical role will focus on managing the BFS, while supporting the CTO to actively identify opportunities for further optimisation of the project scope and economics.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the successful completion of the BFS to progress the development of the integrated project, including mining, beneficiation, refining through to manufacturing and product logistics. The mine will be open pit.
This position is based in Brisbane and reports directly to the Managing Director.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively coordinate and manage the mine and downstream manufacturing BFS's with the appointed engineering consultants.
- Continuously challenge and identify opportunities to optimise project economics and uncover new opportunities for project improvement.
- Support the CTO and consultants to complete the final BFS reports to a high quality standard necessary to meaningfully engage with potential project financiers.
- Plan and oversee execution schedule for the mine and electrolyte manufacturing facility through detailed design and execution.
We are a rapidly growing company developing a world-class Vanadium resource project near Julia Creek in QLD as well as downstream Vanadium Battery Electrolyte Manufacturing facilities in Townsville and Texas, USA. Our integrated project has attracted both Prescribed Project and Coordinated Project Status by the Queensland Government.
We have secured funding and are backed by multinational corporate investors Idemitsu and Coeclerici Group. Our demonstration facility in Townsville is already producing Vanadium Flow Battery Electrolyte, which is being taken up by customers such as Sumitomo Electric who produce grid scale vanadium flow batteries.
A Preliminary Feasibility Study has demonstrated a technically viable & financially attractive project with 28 years life of mine. We are now ready to embark on the next stage of growth.
What You'll Need- Bachelor's Degree in engineering (mechanical, civil/structural, mining, process) as a minimum.
- Demonstrated experience in feasibility study project management of mining projects, supported by a strong operational understanding of mining and processing project economics.
- Track record in progressing feasibility studies to financial completion.
- Experience in progressing in-pit beneficiation unit operations, fine particle flotation technologies, hydrometallurgy unit operations will be highly regarded.
